Pumpkin Black Bean Hojicha Latte Recipe

The sweetness of the soft, creamy pumpkin combines beautifully with the rich, toasty flavor of ISSO Black Bean Hojicha. A warm blend of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger adds depth to this comforting drink. Top it off with frothed milk, and you’ll have a visually stunning latte with a beautiful gradient.
Ingredients
- ISSO Black Bean Hojicha: 3g or 1 teabag
- Pumpkin puree: 6 tablespoons or 100g
- Milk: 150ml
- Boiling water (100℃): 100ml
- Spices (adjust to your taste):
- Cinnamon: 1/4 teaspoon
- Nutmeg: 1/6 teaspoon
- Cloves: 1/6 teaspoon
- Ginger: 1/6 teaspoon
Instructions
1. Warm the pumpkin in the microwave until soft, peel the skin, and mash it to make pumpkin puree.
2. In a saucepan, add 100ml of milk, the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. Heat on low while stirring gently.
3. In another pot, add 100ml of boiling water to the ISSO Black Bean Hojicha (3g or 1 teabag) and simmer on low heat for 1 minute.
This latte, with its vibrant layers of orange and white, evokes the feeling of autumn.
You can also substitute ISSO Black Bean Hojicha with ISSO Hojibo Roasted Tea for a different, unique flavor. Additionally, using soy milk or almond milk instead of regular milk can further enhance the variety of flavors. Enjoy this deliciously rich drink that broadens the flavors of fall.
