ISSO TEA Workshop at Hankyu Umeda Main Store: “A Japanese Tea Wellness Ritual for Modern Life”
From Wednesday, August 26 to Tuesday, September 22, Hankyu Umeda Main Store and Hankyu Men’s Osaka will host OTONA COLLEGE, an annual festival dedicated to learning and discovering new ways to enrich everyday life.
Designed around individual interests and lifestyles, the event features a variety of experiential events and workshops across three categories: Lifestyle, Mind & Body, and Fashion.
As part of the program, ISSO TEA will host a workshop titled “A Japanese Tea Wellness Ritual for Modern Life” on Wednesday, September 16.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will experience the same Japanese tea leaves prepared in three different ways, discovering how different brewing methods bring out distinct aromas, flavors, and textures. Through the practical experience of brewing tea with a traditional kyusu teapot, ISSO TEA will introduce simple ways to incorporate tea into everyday life as a mindful wellness ritual.
Participants will also receive a tea card featuring information on the characteristics of the tea leaves and different brewing methods as a special takeaway.
This workshop is part of #Hankyu OTONA no Manabi, a project that offers opportunities to enrich everyday life through learning. Across the stores, visitors can discover a variety of hands-on classes led by professionals, in-store demonstrations and exhibitions, and learning experiences through shopping.
The theme for this autumn is “Refining Yourself — Preparing for a New Season.”
As summer gives way to autumn, enjoy inspiring experiences designed to help you discover something new about yourself and prepare for the season ahead.
