Product Name: ISSO TEA

About ISSO TEA:

ISSO TEA embodies the idea of "contemporary organic Japanese tea." We handpick the finest leaves from a limited local production, accounting for only a few percent of Japan's total tea leaf harvest. In addition to the cultivation method, our packaging prioritizes eco-friendly materials. Melding Japan's time-honored wisdom of coexisting with nature, superior craftsmanship, and a relentless pursuit of aesthetic beauty, our goal is to introduce a contemporary concept of Japanese tea to a global audience.

■ Design Highlights

  • Proposes brewing methods and pairings that suit contemporary lifestyles in Japan and abroad, with an intuitive tea selection guide.
  • Unified packaging inspired by traditional Japanese colors, expressing the beauty of Japan while resonating with international audiences.
  • Uses domestically grown organic tea leaves and environmentally conscious materials, achieving a sustainable product design.

Jury Evaluation Comment

There are many faces of Japanese tea — the bottled teas found at convenience stores, the luxurious teas served abroad, and the familiar teas once purchased at local shops. ISSO TEA is none of these, yet it redefines what Japanese tea can be.
Beyond its fresh and elegant packaging, it reexamines the meaning and value of tea from both Japanese and global perspectives, presenting tea to us anew. The color palette inspired by traditional Japanese hues is strikingly beautiful.

■ Comment from ISSO TEA Founder & CEO, Masae Saito

We are truly honored that ISSO TEA has received the Good Design Award.
This recognition is made possible through the exceptional craftsmanship, tireless passion, and curiosity of our producers and partners, the dedication of our domestic and international teams, and the care of chefs, retailers, and all those who share ISSO TEA with their customers. To everyone who continues to support and enjoy ISSO TEA — I extend my deepest gratitude. Encouraged by this award, we will continue to share the timeless beauty and richness of Japanese tea with people around the world.
