A Non-Alcohol Pairing that Celebrates the Toasty Flavors of Winter
We are pleased to announce that ISSO TEA has been featured in the third installment of Takegishi Ham Shokai’s #HamPairing corporate collaboration series.
For this special pairing, Takegishi Ham Shokai prepared a dish of moist-cured roast ham served with perfectly grilled seasonal taro—an ingredient that embodies the warmth and comfort of this time of year. To complement this plate, they selected ISSO TEA’s Black Bean Hojicha.
This tea is distinguished by the pronounced natural sweetness of Iwaikuro black soybeans from Hokkaido and the deep, rounded aroma of hojicha made exclusively from rare organic first-flush stems.
The tea’s gentle sweetness and rich body harmonize beautifully with the subtle sweetness of the roast ham’s fat, creating a refined and lingering finish.
The mild, earthy sweetness of the seasonal taro further enhances the experience, allowing the flavors of winter to unfold softly across the palate and through the nose.
We invite you to enjoy this comforting pairing—an ideal companion for the calm and reflective moments of December.
